[due 2 jQuery] Widgetkit Slideset conflict with FLEXIcontent

Hi
I have upgraded FC to the latest 1781 build

Everything seems to work very well (a big "thank you" for it!), except for one small but relevant issue: some pages were UCM is loaded are causing the disappearing of a Slideset Widgetkit module!
You can check it to these links (the slideset module is on the upper left, at the top of the left column, under the logo; the UCM module is the one that appears at the bottom of the content area, under the title "Altri libri di ..."):

- Page without UCM module:
www.mmcedizioni.it/it/catalogo-l ... entro.html

- Page with UCM module:
www.mmcedizioni.it/it/catalogo-l ... ume-4.html

Could you please find the time to give me a hint to solve this conflict?

Thank you in advance for your support
Best Regards

Hello

your page is loading jQuery 3 times,

once via virtuemart
once via widget
once via FLEXIcontent

please, use some joomla plugin to force loading it only once

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

YES, thanks for you fast reply, I was aware of that...
Do you have any suggestion for a such plugin?
BTW: may be it could be a better solution to have an option to avoid jquery to be loaded inside UCM itself? In my case, for example, any other page works smoothly without conflicts, and having the possibility of disabling jQuery in UCM could help in such a case to solve the problem in a fast way without adding one more plugin

Hello, i will give a detailed answer on this:

1. the loading of jQuery is handled by Joomla in J3.x but in J2.5 there is no easy way other using a extension like jQueryEasy (which will add a 0.1-0.3 seconds to all your pages ... depends on your server)

2. we have option to disable automatic loading of jQuery in frontend (it is in component parameters), e.g. you disable on all extensions:
- disable in FLEXIcontent
- disable in virtumart
- disable in widget
and load it your joomla template (e.g. in index.php) without using a plugin

maybe you can use easyjquery plugin

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.

Yes, I'm now using that plugin, but in any case some conflicts are still there
