2 Quick things:
1. This site has a ton of articles in it... anyway to speed up flexicontent/site... loads up really slow: webworxapp.com/

2. Also - you see the on the home page... the Flexi universal modules on the left half of the site... under the slider... I would like the word "more" on the Module title... and when clicked - it goes to that article category that the Universal module is displaying from... anyway to do that?

Hello,

the performance problem is very unlikely to be from FLEXIcontent component, this was heavily optimized in v2.0.x (also the backend managers, most notably the items manager)

-- but the FLEXIcontent universal Content Module is not optimized!! the main SQL query is slow in large sites (many article)

-- and your are using several instances of Universal Content Module right?
how many do you display in frontpage?

-- one of the last things to do for v2.0.3 is optimized Universal Content Module
after this is done you will see a huge performance improvement

Please note that the v2.0.2 has a debuging parameter to give you detailed performance statistics when component is displayed.

Important: Until v2.0.3 is available, please enable Joomla's System Cache Plugin with a caching interval of 15 minutes note it would be good idea to use this in high traffic / large sites

I am using Rochen servers and all my other sites run quickly. Perhaps its the module? I dont show a ton of articles... you can see on the site that not a lot show...

you missed the 2nd question: Also - you see the on the home page... the Flexi universal modules on the left half of the site... under the slider... I would like the word "more" on the Module title... and when clicked - it goes to that article category that the Universal module is displaying from... anyway to do that?

Hello

mikeg1 wrote: Perhaps its the module? I dont show a ton of articles... you can see on the site that not a lot show...

please do not take me wrong,
but you missed my answered,
please re-read it carefully

1. i said is because of FLEXIcontent universal modules, (and now i tried to count Universal Content modules on your Frontpage and you are using 8 Universal Content modules
and each of them can be slow (the more content items you have on your site, the more slow they will be)

-- this will be optimized in v2.0.3 to have a steady high speed regardless of site's size,
... like we did for category view !! and backend items manager !!

2. Please enable Joomla System cache plugin until v2.0.3 final is available, it will add to your site 15 minutes delay to update but important parts of your site will become fast (Frontpage !!)

About "more" i am not sure where to look,
please post a picture and a link is it in the frontpage?

in general you can remove "more" via module configuration, but again i am not sure to where to look

Attached is the image for the "more" thing... that is a universal module... when people click on the More link, it takes them to the Formula 1 Article Category

Hello,

there is a parameter to add a custom read more link e.g. to go to the category view, but this will be displayed at the end of the module

in general , please use what is available,
-- and note that various layout customization that you have in mind will need to edit the template layouts

e.g. for module, copy
modules/mod_felxicontent/tmpl/news.php
to tmpl/mynews.php

and edit it
