Like to say, the speed on your technical support has been fantastic.

Couple of things...
On Item Page: for example: webworxapp.com/indycar/item/5509 ... y-notebook
1. Want to put the Date Created under Article Title... not how you see it now...
2. Want to get rid of the block area with the favorites, Red Category text... I put show no label in article type but the Rating stars still show.
3. Do you have a Related Stories plugin that shows a list of the last 5 articles and that I can show in the inset - ie. within the article on the right like how some sites have it?
4. Do you have another Related Stories module that shows 4 or 5 articles - with the article image of each article shown horizontally and title and some introtext underneath each articles image?

On Category Page: webworxapp.com/f1-racing
1. I would like the have the title for each article just above the intro text and to the right of the image - not above the image.
2. Like to get rid of the Read More... text under the image but keep the border bottom.
3. Get rid of the Be the First to Comment on the leading article.
4. The leading article is showing the complete article rather than just the 400 characters that I have set in the category settings?

What Image/News/Article Slider do you recommend that works well with Flexicontent... I want to have a News Slider on the Home page and in each category. That shows 4 or 5 current articles with the images in it.

Do you have a page that shows plugins and modules for Flexicontent?

How come on article pages... such as: webworxapp.com/alms/item/55694-p ... -at-laguna
Just above the article / image you see the word "Description?"

One last thing - check out this category page... webworxapp.com/moto-gp
How come it shows the same image twice? There is only one image of that motorcycle in the article? Same thing on this category page too: webworxapp.com/nhra
Thanks

This was an unhelpful response... I did read the various posts... I wouldnt have posted if I didnt. I went into the various templates and took out the date created, favorites, etc. and its still showing... must be another bug last the last thing I asked about. a lot easier if you just answer specifically without sending me to poorly read FAQ, I notice others have some of the same questions. Where is that other guy who responds with actual answers?

Hello,

mikeg1 wrote: Couple of things...

Please always mention the template,
that you are using
For item view: there is either item layout of blog template, or the modular used by the other templates.

mikeg1 wrote: 1. Want to put the Date Created under Article Title... not how you see it now...

- Make sure you assign default template to your Content Type
- and then, please edit 'item layout' of default template in the template manager, drag and drop to Add/Remove the desired fields

mikeg1 wrote: 2. Want to get rid of the block area with the favorites, Red Category text... I put show no label in article type but the Rating stars still show.

You need to edit the 'item layout' of your template in template manager, to Add/Remove the desired fields

mikeg1 wrote: 3. Do you have a Related Stories plugin that shows a list of the last 5 articles and that I can show in the inset - ie. within the article on the right like how some sites have it?

You can relate items via TAGs, or you can relate items via the RELATION field,
- create a Relation field assign it to your content Type 'Story' (parameter TOP RIGHT) and also select the related type to be same Content Type (in your case 'Story')
- theres is a parameter where you can enter the fields that related item list will show e.g. title, date field, image field, etc, plus custom HTML
- finally in template manager , drag and drop to add this new field to 'item layout' of the template used for Content Type 'Story'

mikeg1 wrote: 4. Do you have another Related Stories module that shows 4 or 5 articles - with the article image of each article shown horizontally and title and some introtext underneath each articles image?

Universal Content Module has multiple SCOPEs one of them is ITEMS SCOPE can list items having same 'tags' or related via the relation field !!

1. I would like the have the title for each article just above the intro text and to the right of the image - not above the image.

Try using template position AND CSS, otherwise the recommend way it to edit HTML of the template for specific layout needs (duplicate the built-in template e.g. blog to blog-1, and the edit category_items.php and category_items_html5.php)

mikeg1 wrote: 2. Like to get rid of the Read More... text under the image but keep the border bottom.

Try this:
1. (for category layout of blog template) Set "Strip and cut" to Yes instead of "Yes. Force Read more"
2. Set "Read more... Link" to "No" in "Item List Creation" of category parameters

mikeg1 wrote: 3. Get rid of the Be the First to Comment on the leading article.

Are you triggering the comments plugin in your description field? (selecting none plugin= trigger ALL, select specific plugins, also maybe disable content plugin triggering in category view if you don't need it) it is really difficult to answer without access to site,

mikeg1 wrote: 4. The leading article is showing the complete article rather than just the 400 characters that I have set in the category settings?

did you double check this, this is unlikely to be a bug, did you edit correct category?
Also make sure that parameter "Force Full Text" of "Item List Creation" in category configuration is not enabled (e.g. set to "Use Global" and in Global params make sure it is no)

mikeg1 wrote: What Image/News/Article Slider do you recommend that works well with Flexicontent... I want to have a News Slider on the Home page and in each category. That shows 4 or 5 current articles with the images in it.

FLEXIcontent will work with any Joomla slider module, if your images are inside article TEXT then they will be shown, but it showing custom fields inside the slider is not possible unless this module supports FLEXIcontent,

-- we have on the works (no release date) a non-Free template for Universal content module (remember the great advantage of Universal Content Module is extremely powerful (complex) SCOPING (selection) of content)

mikeg1 wrote: Do you have a page that shows plugins and modules for Flexicontent?

Here is a partial list of 3rd-party extensions
www.flexicontent.org/extensions/ ... odule.html

mikeg1 wrote: How come on article pages... such as: webworxapp.com/alms/item/55694-p ... -at-laguna
Just above the article / image you see the word "Description?"

Disable the showing of label in field configuration, also some template position force the use of field label

mikeg1 wrote: One last thing - check out this category page... webworxapp.com/moto-gp

Thanks

Maybe you have enabled parameter "Force Full Text" which forces the display of BOTH intro and Full text ?

-- PLEASE note:
answering configuration questions for thousands of sites is impossible, many people (you included) understand that it is impossible.
-- FLEXIcontent is not a tiny/small or large extension, it is just simply too big, only way would be to make a paid service out of it, and pay some people to answer questions / configure sites.

-- We have a rather large FAQ and try to make more detailed and better descriptions in FLEXIcontent inline help in edit forms, but still it takes effort and time to setup the functionality and layout of a any website, particularly when using something powerful and NEW

Best Regards
