Hello,

I have problems to get correct list content using the #page selector filter. It seems that when I am not logged, means that only cached pages are used this selector has no effect. If I change the number of items per page the page is refreshing but the number of items didn't change and the counter is stuck at the value per default. To get it functionnal I have to be logged and so the pages are no more cached.

Second problem is even I am logged the number of items change correctly but it is not well managed by the pagination module. This module is always going back to the default value of items per page.

I more or less located the code where problems occures but I wanted to know if it is a known issue that could be adressed in a futur release ?

I am using V2.0.2 R1680 with Joomla 2.5.11

Thanks in advance for your inputs.

Best Regards,
Bruno.

Hello,

the reason is that the value of it is not added to the php (and Joomla) SESSION, (we did this on purpose maybe we thought wrongly), but instead only used the value added in the URL.

maybe this is not the best approach, and given our implementation , yes this is expected behavior, but i can agree with you that this is not best or most appropriate behavior , right ?

Hello,

Thanks for your prompt answer. If I understand well this option is not useable in reality since there is no links between this filter and the pagination module ??

I noticed that the value is in the URL when I am logged only and when I perform a change in the dropdowmn list. As soon as I click on a link in the pagination module the limit disappear from the URL and the pagination is back to the default item value per page.

I am quite stuck here ... Any suggestion to get it more user friendly ?

Regards,
Bruno.

Hello,
the reason for using URL is important:
1. to make your website work with full page caching extension (e.g. joomla's system cache plugin)
2. to allow easier bookmarking of category views

-- the problem that you describe is because the links back to category view are "unfiltered links" (so not only the page limit but ALL filter variables are not used), thus the effect you describe , and yes this is not user friendly

-- so i think the "pagination plugin" should save the "referer" link when previous URL was category view so that it will be possible to return to the filtered category view

-- i have opened bug issue 578 in the bug tracker, not a bug but surely not user friendly ...
