Access controls for fields is implemented. However, the trouble with this is the following:

Let us say that I have two types of users - Gold and Silver. There is an image field for Gold (Img Gold) which allows 20 image uploads and another Image Field for silver (Img Silver).

I create an Item which is open to both types of users. As the other fields are all common excepting the image fields.

In this case, there is no way that I can provide access control as the Silver user can upload images in the field Img Gold field.

When the publisher has to publish the submission, then he has to check if the user is a silver user and then each of the images that has been uploaded for Img Gold by the silver user.

A simpler way to do it would be if the Silver user did not even see the Img Gold field

Cheers!

Hello,
did you try using the edit field value privilege ?

Yes. I did change the value in the "Manage Permissions". However, even though rights are denied, the user can edit, modify and change. And it shows in the front end too.

Cheers!

Hello,
you need to do 2 things in field edit form
1. Set "edit field value" privilege
2. Enable the usage of it via a property at the left of the screen
