[Solved] Issue with file list order of file field

I've been sitting with a bit of a bug trying to save the sorting order of a list of field items in v2.0.2. (worked prior upgrade)
I created a file field, and have added multiple files to a content item and have tried to sort these via drag and drop, though when I try to save changes, the order implemented is not applied.

Hoping some one can share a fix, please.

I have tested this on a clean J 2.5.11 install locally(php 5.3.5) and experienced the same issues. I have tried saving the order in both admin and front-end edit view. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Hello,
the saving of ordering is done only in fields manager (so i guess you meant "view" field order in both frontend/backend item form)

-- Ordering is different for each Content Type, did you filter by content type before ordering ?

-- Also no changes were done to fields ordering in v2.0.2

Thank you so much for your response. Sorry if I wasn't being clear. I am referring to the ordering of a single field's list of files. The previous version I had installed was 2.0.0 RC9b (r1601), where the ordering of the field's list items could be saved correctly. I upgraded for the advanced search option available for file fields in the latest fc version.

I've attached a screenshot of the field's list order I have tried to implement, and then the result after clicking save.

Thank you in advance for any input.

Hello,
here are the patched files for (a) image field and (b) file field for v2.0.2

-- the patched file field corrects the file-list order
and
-- the patched image field corrects the image field in "folder mode", popup of already selected images not opening in some browsers

thanks for report (your 2nd explanation was very clear :) )

Think to leave a 5-star review at JED to support FLEXIcontent project (please mention the features that are useful to you)
