"Files" Menu Item Not Displaying For Administrator Group

Hi,

I am trying to troubleshoot a problem for my client. They are trying to assign an Administrator level permission to a user so they can upload files using the "Files" section. However, when they login, the Files menu item is not available to them (see screenshot below).

In going to the configuration section for Administrator permissions, there is every indication that the privilege should be allowed (see screenshots below).

I tried playing around with the settings to no avail. I then explored further to see if there were any other settings that could be affecting this. What I found was the "Restrict Uploads" setting in the Files Configuration section, which sounded like it might be a factor from its description. However, in changing it to "No" it had no effect either (see screenshot below).

I can't find any other settings that would seem to be a factor. So at this point I am wondering if I am missing something or is this possibly some kind of bug?

I am using Joomla 2.5.8 and Flexicontent version 2.0 RC8 (r1475). Using different browsers does not change output.

Thank you for any assistance,

Mike

I also discovered that new Administrator users are not showing up in the "Authors" section. I even defined a new Administrator user using that section and the user is not showing up afterwards.

Oddly enough, there is one Administrator that is showing up from back when we first installed Flexicontent.

First:
- Update Joomla to v2.5.9 (the current version)
- Update FLEXIcontent to v2.0.1 r1649 (the current version)

It is quite possible this issue has already been fixed.

Hey guys thanks for your responses. Updating definitely fixed the problem. I guess I didn't realize just how outdated my version had become! I suppose it would be fair to say there's not too much dust gathering on you guys!

By the way, updating added the extra bonus of the very nice work you guys have done on the search section. So thanks for that unexpected benefit as well!

My best regards,

Mike
