Template in this revision are fixed, maybe you have a custom copied template that is not updated , or you have put tab label in wrong template or in wrong position (there are 2 tab positions inside the layouts)

If you've copied an existing template (per usual) then you must edit your files to reflect your goal.
In components/com_flexicontent/templates/YOUR_COPIED_OR_NEW_TEMPLATE you'll find your css files and the item.xml file. The item.xml file is where you'll find your tab names.

Hope this helps!
P.S. I used the search function to find "TAB01" in item.xml

As i said the issue is fixed in all built-in templates by some revision close to r1601, so

1. Update to r1601
2. Update (if you have) you custom templates with code from built templates
3. Edit -each- content Type and set the parameters that define the TAB labels (beware there are 2 tabbing positions in modular template: SubTitle Tabs and Bottom Tabs)
4. If it does not work for some individual items check that you have not overridden template parameters in these items and saved "TAB1" etc in them

NOTE in r1606+ you can also customize icons per TabSet position and per Content type , by using CSS rules:

e.g

#flexicontent.fctypeNN a#fc_subtitle_tabset_nav_12 {
background-image: url(../images/information.png) !important;
background-position: 1px 2px !important;
background-repeat: no-repeat !important;
}

-- in above CSS replace:
NN with the id of the content Type (you can see id in content type list at the backend)
subtitle_tabset is the name of template position, there is also bottom_tabset
