Hello,
After my migration on FC2.0 (the last one), i cannot hide the "last modified date" and the "category" in my item in frontend...
I try to deactivate it all the place in found and even by modifiying the blog template in item.php but with no success...

I try to comment the lines 127 to 132 like this:
Code:
<?php if (intval($this->item->modified) !=0 && $this->params->get('show_modify_date')) : ?> <span class="modified"> <?php // FlexicontentFields::getFieldDisplay($this->item, 'modified', $values=null, $method='display'); ?> <?php echo // '['.JHTML::_('date', $this->fields['modified']->value[0], JText::_('DATE_FORMAT_LC2')).']'; ?> </span> <?php endif; ?>

Where are called this fields in the original blog template to hide these two fields ?

Thanks for the help :)

item.php of blog template this is used for the item view of the blog template

DO YOU speak of an item view using the item layot of the blog templates AKA using file item.php of blog template?

are you sure your items use the item layout of blog template

e.g. you category view can be using blog template, but the items displayed e.g. of CONTENT type car use item layout of "presentation" template

FIRST double check what the content type of your items use as item layout , e.g. check content type "CAR", then check one or 2 items do they override and use some other item layout (of another template) ?

Hello,
You was right...the template for the type applied...
But there is in this case something I don't understand..
If i take a look to the template system doc, i understood this : "...the params are always overrided like : Type, then categories, then author...".
I understood "if i put a params on a category, then it will be used instead of the type one" and so on..
I was wrong obviously ?

In any case, thanks again and again and again for the quick support on this forum, and a special thanks for "ggppdk" :)
Best wishes :)

Hello,

items inherit parameter from category BUT

category layout is parameter 'clayout' (category layout) this is different from the parameter 'ilayout' (item layout) that is used by the items, this is inherited FROM the content Type and can be overridden per item

Regards
