Fc module and Advanced Module Manager problems

Hi,

Yesterday Peter launched the new version of Advanced Module Manager who is compatible with Fc2. It seems there is a problem with Fc universal module when a date range is present. When a date range (0 d 200 d) is wrtten in the date field, AMM doesn't load the whole module page but only the description box with nothing else. Here is a copy of his message:

After a lot of digging I found something.
There is something actually not working correctly in the core module manager, causing some form fields to show as normal text fields.
The error is caused by the fields From and To. See screenshot:  quick-markup.com/p/504798b1d73e4   (taken from your core module manager view)
These should be calendar fields (via JFormFieldFcdate), and should look like:  quick-markup.com/p/504799182c1b0  (taken from my setup)
Because the fields on your setup have been saved with weird unexpected values (like '0 d' and '200 d') the core Joomla calendar element crashes.

So the issue is something in FlexiContent that also doesn't check for valid values before passing it on to the core calendar element.

Not much I can do about this. Maybe best to get into contact with the FlexiContent support...

Any suggestions?

FLEXIcontent must pass these values to calendar field otherwise the field will be displayed empty !

The calendar field is supposed to able to display data that do not match a specific date format

This is the case in both J1.5 and J2.5

Anyway i have just now, solved the issue, by adding JS creating code directly inside the FCdate field, this will also give room for more flexibility in the future too.

You can get fix now from here:
code.google.com/p/flexicontent/s ... ail?r=1471

click to download J1.5 or J2.5 file by opening it and at the left you will see a "raw" link, click it and the do a "save as"

Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
