Custom frontpage

Hi there,

So, I've created a custom frontpage for my website that includes just two modules, an image slider and a menu — that means no content at all.

This gives issues, though, as I have a lot of items without menu items. E.g. my news section that is constantly growing — whenever I search for a news item, a SEF URL is generated for that item. When I visit that link, however, I'm sent to the frontage that only shows the two modules.

The same issue goes for search results, as it seems search also uses the frontpage's item ID to show the results.

Is there any way to create item ids for items without menu items? I've tried creating a menu item for their categories, but that didn't work.

You mean that you use standard joomla SEF?

You don't need to create menu items for every FLEXIcontent item, but to have a better understanding why this is happening i need to view it online.

Temporarily try disabling all content search plugins and enabling only flexicontent search plugin "flexisearch" (not flexistdsearch)

I'm only using Joomla's standard SEF.

I'm using MijoSearch (formely AceSearch) with the Flexicontent plugin.

There was a case, but i remember fixing before r1420 that there was a problem with SEF links because of not appropriate menu item getting selected

Did you test with only FLEXIcontent standard search enabled?
