hello

I'm transfering a J1.5 site to J2.5
I have installed the FLEXIcontent version 2.0 RC6 (r1368) on the J2.5 site
I have transfered the datas with the netassopro tranfering tools.

I got not problems in the transfering and I recover all my datas (multi language site with customized detail and categories templates)

I have had some problems with the multi language as I used the Joomfish opportunities in J 1.5 and no more in J2.5. As spoken last week, I'm using Nonumber rereplacer.

I also use nonubler slider, tabber, tooltip and snippet tools (very usefull).

To day I have got all my data synchronized between Flexicontent and Nonumber.

On the background I get all my data without any problem .

On the public access I have seen that some fields are not shown in the public template (mainly select field and one text area).

I have checked the datas in the DB. For me all seems correct. I get the data normally in the admin. Th problem in only to show the datas to the public (all the concerned fields have public access).

As to be not so long in this post I send the detail of my problem in a PM to ggppdk to explain the whole problem and toknow if it's a bug or if I did some mistake

thank you for help

-- First you should never disable FLEXIcontent advanced cache in global configuration, all view that parse XML template files will have a terrible performance hit. If you change any template XML file just clear cache once ...

-- About field HTML output: Due to performance improvement, field HTML is not created unless they are placed in a template position

You have 3 alternatives:
- 1. Create a fake position (that does not exist in your template file) (and remember when changing any template XML file, you need clear cache)
- 2. Set item view to create ALL fields (Parameter: Always create field HTML in Global Configuration)
- 3. Use FlexicontentFields::getFieldDisplay(...) function to create the display of the field

Please read carefully this FAQ article:
