hah! Don't know if this is still open but I have solved it. here's the solution

Go to Acesef > Extensions

Click on "Flexicontent"

Click on "Common Parameters"

Then set "Skip prefix/menu" to "yes"

This should work

I already had "Skip prefix/menu" set to "yes", so that didn't work for me. However, I noticed there was a newer version of the Flexicontent plugin for AceSEF and so I installed it, and it has fixed the problem.
