[solved in r1393] arranging fields in "Type Order" is weird

In Fields one can arrange the order of fields by using the up/down arrows. Strange thing is that when later editing the relevant items in the back end some fields appear on the right place while others dont, especially the Image field almost never appears above Description while a Module field does.

What could cause this strange behaviour?

Please try this.

The order of the fields only work in ONE CONDITION, so try it and report back.

The condition is:
1 - Go to the FIELD LIST in the back end;
2 - Filter by the ITEM/CONTENT TYPE
3 - Order by ORDER and save the order
4 - Reorder the fields and save
5 - DONE

FlexyContent only order the fields by content type.
In case it does not work, what FC version you have?

Thanks. But that is exactly what I always did and do and that worked reliable till arround r1280. After that revision the fields started acting funny. First I thought its all my fault but now it goes on ... some fields follow the order others dont, no rule to recognise. If you dont have this effect at all than there is something wrong with my installation Im affraid.

My version is in my signature.

Finally I discover what is happening.

ggddpk the edit form and view are the same?

because I just found 2 bugs in the edit form:
1- it does not respect back-office order at lease core fields, in my case the DESCRIPTION
2- in the menu item there is an override configuration for the CATEGORIES and how they are presented. In my case I always set the use to only submit to one category but then when they edit the entire select list appears.

Also I wish in the feature when we select only 1 category the option to hide from the user, why? beacouse in the menu item title I call it: "Submit Image Gallery" I don't need the category to show the category title.
