Hi I am working on a Joomla 1.5.25 and Flexicontent 1.5.4 site

As a Super Administrator I can access the standard Joomla and category manager. com_content

When I log in as an Administrator I no longer have access to the standard Article or Category manager.

It appears that the URL is being rewritten from:
Article Manager
www.domain.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_content
to
www.taylormathis.com/administrator/index...xicontent&view=items

Category Manager:
www.taylormathis.com/administrator/index...§ion=com_content
to
www.taylormathis.com/administrator/index...tent&view=categories

Have anyone seen this before?
Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thanks! -- Steven

.
This is by design.
The FLEXIcontent system plug-in redirects the links.
It is possible to disable this plug-in, but then users can mess things up.
In the 1.5 version you can set which groups are redirected.
This is why the plain Administrator is redirected and the Super Administrator is not.
Those are default settings.

All item editing should be done through FLEXIcontent to maintain the extended data properly.
It is possible to have separate content (articles) maintained via the old core com_content, etc., but as I said above this make it very easy for users to edit part of the FLEXIcontent items data in there which messes-up the extended data.

Thanks so much for the reply and info.

Completely understand the reasoning and logic.

I have a small site with only 2 people that are updating content and we have a few articles that are not managed through flexicontent.

I was able to find the plugin and remove the redirection for the Administrator group.

Thanks again for the info and quick response! -- Steven

if it the solution think to edit your title post and add [solved] ;)
regards

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
