Cant get the filter to work ???

Hi,

I am trying to get the filters to work yet I cant... I am making the category field searchable and filter is enabled.. and under the category I am saying yes to Use filters and Use search box also I am also selecting the categories field as the selected filter.

All I am getting is the search box with the buttons of go and reset...
What am I missing here ? Can anybody help ?

actualy desactived joomla cache and gzip compresion
clean cache and expired cache and retry

I have tried all off those things yet still only I got the search box. I did even a brand new installation of joomla and the flexicontent on a new domain. Still not working...

One thing I cant see the flexi search plugin under the plugins but at the initial installation it say that it has been installed...
