length of thumbnail jpeg

I am having a problem restoring a Joomla site with Flexicontent (latest) in a (local) Windows 7 environment.
I am using Akeebabackup and kickstart to restore.
The message I have is this:
Could not open C:/Program Files (x86)/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs/joomla/components/com_flexicontent/librairies/phpthumb/cache/e/ec/ecd/ecdf/phpThumb_cache_sitenamexxxxx.net_srcecdf9fed0b60134151feac0e0c2e572a_parfb1ee097dabdec30c6b13118aca67744_dat1283515638.jpeg for writing.

When I look at the file I noticed the length of the filename in FlexiContent. The length of the path/file is 266 characters. I think this is the problem restoring this file.
Is there a way to influence the length of the filename in Flexicontent? phpThumb_cache_sitenamexxxxx.net_srcecdf9fed0b60134151feac0e0c2e572a_parfb1ee097dabdec30c6b13118aca67744_dat1283515638.jpeg is a rather big name.
Or is there another way to avoid this error? I deleted the files now and this worked.
