Link to article not generating right URL

I had added this to another thread, but figured a new one would be easier.

In article A I am linking to article B. There is a category blog for article B, but the link I add within article A goes to: /fr/component/content/article/articleBalias?catid=51:categoryAlias&Itemid=107. This results in a 404. Item id is my home page. Type is set to Redirect to FC item view and all of my menu items are Flexi types.

With the type set to redirect, if I create a link to an article with no blog page or menu item, I'm brought to content-page. This does display the article content, but not styled properly for the type.

When I set the route to Route to FC item view, I'm redirected to the home page and given: Warning: Undefined array key "cid" in /home/site/public_html/components/com_flexicontent/router.php on line 1491. The link generate is thre same as above.

Any idea why this is happening?

Thanks

Using the Item button to add the link and with the type set to Route to FC or Redirect, I'm getting a URL that is menu/submenu/itemID. This is at least creating a Flexi link, but it still gives me a 404.

I need menu/submenu/itemAlias
