Content Lists Filtering module not populating some Select options

I created a "FLEXIcontent - Content Lists Filtering" module and added it to the home page.
Some of the select fields are not getting populated with the options.
The target category and menu item have been set accordingly.




When I create a Category menu item the filters work as intended, just not inside the module.

The only way I was able to make this work was by changing the menu item type of the home page to category...

yes that normal if you want to display a module in your home and filter only a specific category you need to link it
