How to make SEF URLs?

I have created a Product Type.
The URL to them is:
mysite.com/content_page/item/2-my-product-alias

But how can I make it the following, because this is what is normally required on websites:
mysite.com/product/my-product-alias

Thanks

hello
1 in flexicontent 4 go to admin config and seo tab you have an option to remove item in url
2 create a link to your categorie (hidden menu)
3 now you can use this menu item id to generate url

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Thank you very much, but I still have a couple of issues...

1 in flexicontent 4 go to admin config and seo tab you have an option to remove item in url
[Laurence] OK I have done this and this works, thanks

2 create a link to your categorie (hidden menu)
I do not use categories, but I have created a Category link to "Uncategorised"

3 now you can use this menu item id to generate url
I do not understand this part. How to generate URL from ID? Should it not be automatic?

There is an extra step I took, which is in the hidden menu I renamed the Alias to product.

I am nearly there but after steps 1 and 2 I have root in the URL as follows:
mysite.com/product/root/my-product-alias

2 you need to create a link to your category to avoid root

But I have link to the category as stated above... in the flexicontent hidden menu, I added a link with alias "product" and linked it to the Uncategorized category, because all my products are Uncategorized.

But /root/ is still in the URL.
