Directory view menu and subcategories

Hello,
I am using flexicontent directory view menu as my front page and I want to ask if I can limit the number of subcategories displayed.
Currently I have the option to hide empty categories only, but I want to display the main category and 2 or 3 subcategories and not all first level subcategories.
Is this possible?
Thank you.

Hello

there is no option to limit the number of listed categories

but it should be very easy if you create a joomla template override for default.php file of the view

and then add an IF statement that will break out of the loop listing the categories

For me more simple create a parent category call home
Use multicategory fonction to add your category wanted
And create a link toncategory home
Use FAQ template for display
