Two URLs for one item (via 2 menu items to same category), bad for google

Hi,
on our site, we can find the same item via two menuitems and so we have to separate urls for the same content.
Google does not like that for SEO ranking.
What is the best way to always get only one unique url for the same item?

Here is our example (it's german, but I hope you can follow the search anyway...):

Menuitem 1: www.tennistraveller.net/tennishotels/tennishotel-suchen
leads to first found item url: www.tennistraveller.net/tennishotels/ten...l-suchen/stainzerhof

Menuitem 2: www.tennistraveller.net/tennishotels/tennishotel-oesterreich
leads to www.tennistraveller.net/tennishotels/ten...terreich/stainzerhof

which is obviously the same item.
How can the second url be redirected automatically to item url 1?

The first search is a worldwide search where the entry (=hotel) is found and the second one is search only for austria, where the hotel also is found.

if you create 2 menu-items to same category


That is because the current menu item is always preferred when creating the URLs

one solution would be to use non-SEF URL in the
rel="canonical" links

index.php?option=com_flexicontent&view=...

but i am neither sure if this is best nor that it would make everyone happy
