Hello !

I'm trying to use fcpagenav field in my article view to allow user to get to next or previous article easily.
I think that fcpagenav automatically order articles according to creation date (the newest is the first, the oldest the last). It shows as Previous and Next articles the article created just before and the one just after the current article.

But I would like the articles to be ordered by category order (I defined in my Flexicontent backend). It is not the creation date order.
Basically, I would like the same ordering than in universal module when you put you want all articles from the same category with "category order" as ordering.

Is it posible ? Or which part of plugin fcpagenav_field should I custom ?

Hello

this field will get the ordering out of the settings of
- current category view

so you do not configure ordering in this field
the ordering is taken from category settings

currently it does not support getting settings from
- menu item
- from other category-based views like "my-items", "tagged items", "favoured items" , "multi-category item listings"

you will need to set the ordering in the category itself (or let the category inherit from some parent category / component)
