quick question : items unpublished by default was created by smilecollector

is there any way to modify the setup to have items created with status "unpublished" for instance by default...

Hello

At component options (click Configuration button)
- go to workflow Tab / Basic workflow

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.

I missed it this morning - thanks and sorry

stupid question: what is the difference between backend and frontend new items here? I imagine this is when you required an approval?

Hello

just for frontend you may want different behavior

- about approval, even if you set item to be in published state , if user is not allowed to be publish in the item's category, then all user's new item will be in pending approval state or draft state
