Hello

do you speak of showing hits in item view ?
or in category view ? (multiple items listed)

For new installation you are typically using "default" template and your items are using type "article"

1. Go to types manager and check which template you are using (find row "Article") , it should say default
2. Go to templates manager and find row "default" and click to edit "item" layout
3. Drag and drop hits field into a position and save

What I meen is that the hits for each item shows 0 (zero).

In the meatime I've tried to deactivate flexicontent, but then I get an 404 error saying missing component when trying to enter joomla content.

Why is that.

Hello

Please note that

- if you are using caching the hits maybe updated after caching expires, e.g. after 15 minutes
- I don't know if the view that you are trying to use is a flexicontent item view or Joomla article view

But since you have freshly installed flexicontent, (this will also delete flexicontent custom fields, but since this is a ?? fresh ?? flexicontent install , you do not have any data in these fields)

if this is not a recent flexicontent install then do not uninstall , because uninstalling delete flexicontent fields and types,
the items (articles are kept)

you can do this
1. re-enable flexicontent
2. uninstall flexicontent and then see

a. if the view you were using is the same as before
b. if hits are showing non-zero
