Meta description if not set

Hi,

I have many items without meta-description. Can i set ther automatically the first 320 characters from item-description field?

it will be possible with pro feature ... but not with core
BUT its not a good idea :
- 1 google doesn't use description for rank
- 2 description need be a text to invite user to click on link result ...
for me need to be more precise then first X caractere

=> just google already set X first caract on content if meta-description isn't set but he it alone lol
