Hello

i have also noticed another problem

Tags autocomplete search (item form)
and
Text search words autocomplete (frontend)

is not possible in your web-site

You are using htaccess maker of "Admin Tools"
which only allows direct access to:
administrator/components/com_akeeba/restore.php
administrator/components/com_admintools/restore.php
administrator/components/com_joomlaupdate/restore.php

I have added to the list this file too
components/com_flexicontent/tasks/core.php

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Thanks for your efforts;

JCE works in other components
AFAIK, the blank screen is limited to JCE and flexicontent only.

>> have you configured any HTML editor parameters in description field or in some textarea field ?

No. The site was working fine until an update of Flexicontent and JCE (pro) was implemented.

Something weird just now, though;

The site is on shared host. PHP is set to version 7.2, but the Joomla backend is complaining we're on " PHP 5.6.40 which is obsolete and no longer receives official security updates by its developers."

Strategically I'm thinking, this is only a small site. It would be a relatively small matter to rebuild it on my local server or restore to a back up before the updates.

Leave it with me for now. I'll get back to you.

OK, the mysteries of the interwebs

I noticed our hosting service just had an interruption. I suspect they rebooted.

Using JCE I can now
* Create a new article
* Use the custom dates
* Edit existing documents (articles)

The PHP version warning is still there, but the CP is definitely version 7.2, indicated

So, for the moment we seem to be back.

tiny
dropeditor
jce pro
no problem no error in 3.3.1.5 and 3.4 alpha

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.

i guess you have backend URL protected via some token because i am redirected to frontend
i need this too via a new PM

I take it you saw what I was seeing, and I wasn't imaging it?

The site is working fine now, without intervention on the Joomla CMS installation. I have to assume the shared host is implicated.

Again, thanks for your patience & help.
