dear flexicontent team,

i have a logical issue with displaying content, i hope you can help me out :)

i have an artist content page, for example - "da vinci"
now i need to add his artworks, therefor i create a new type of content: "artworks" and add the multiselect field "artist".
so i can create "mona lisa", "the last supper" etc as content.

how can i display these artworks on the artist page. i wanted to use the universal content module and filter the artworks by compairing title with mulitiselect field, but this doesn't seems to work out.

do you have advice how i can display easily the artworks?

thanks for advice,
bart

hello
The best solution is use relation field to create relation between content or use tag
1 set type
Items list >> select items >> Types scope
set include and choose your type
2 set relation
Items list >> select items >> Item scope >> related items
after you can display field
layout >> content via parameters >> Custom Fields

or if you realy want your field
Items list >> select items >> Item scope >> Custom (non-CORE) fields scope
and use dynamic filter using field values of currently item
and set you id field in Dynamic filters options

hi micker,
many thanks for your feedback.

i made it work, but i m not really happy with my solution.
by using "my field" and the dynamic filter, i have to use the field in both content-types. as the value is the title of the artist-content, it s double content which should be avoided.
is it possible to compare the field with the title of the currently viewed article?

looking forward for your feedback,

Hello

as micker described
the way to do what you need is via tags
or better via the relation fied (and reverse relation fields)

using the title would never be reliable, plus such functionality is not implemented
