Hi,
I have a flexi search module on my homepage, and I would like :
  • to get the search results with the same layout as the category view
  • get all the tree for category display (ie : cat1/subcat2/subsubcat1)
How could I achieve this two things ?
Thanks !

you need to override the search view to create own
or use filtering module because you can link to a category display

FLEXIcontent is Free but involves a very big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite being huge extension) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?

Hello

There is also the alternative of using text search and filtering in category views
just if you do the above,
- every search performed will be limit to current category (and to its sub-categories if this is enabled)

Ok, thanks guys.
I still need help on the search result page.
In the list of results I've set the category of the item to be displayed, but what I get is only the lower level of the category.
I want to display the category and all parent categories.

For example :
ITEM TITLE
Item description
Item category/subcategory1/subcategory2
...

I have no idea how to achieve that.?

Hello

there is no option for it in configuration,
you could do it with a Joomla template of our search view template override
and some custom coding on your side

Adding this option / testing / (+language string) is rather little time 30mins
and would be nice improvement for our search view
