make item titles in table view linkable

How can i make item titles in a tabular template linkable?

For instance, in this view I'm trying to link the item titles in the table to each item.
However, neither the category nor the menu item overrides seem to make a difference,

My impression is that the underlying template doesn't support linking titles by default.

This is how its Fields Placement settings look like.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you have added the title field as custom column
-- remove the field from there

1. And use the 'show / link' title parameters in component / category configuration
which are respected / used by all our category view layouts ...

2. Then there is extra configuration in the "edit (category) layout" screen inside TAB "Display parameters"

If i remove the title from te table placement sone, the title is not shown,



Moreover, no display parameters are shown in the template,



Worse yet, now i can't drag and drop the field back into the zone, as it won't stick.

I've managed to re-add the title field fo the table zone.
The main issue reported in this thread remains, though.

Problem solved.

The custom layout was probably cloned from an older version of the default template.
I've spawned a new one from te current default template, which is fully modular and more customisable.
