Cookie fc_uid

Hi,
as you might know there will be new privacy rules in Europe (General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR).
A page with FlexiContent stores two cookies. One is the session ID cookie from Joomla and there is a second one called fc_uid. I guess fc stands for FlexiContent? If yes, what does the cookie do. I have to mention this in the new privacy statement on our website!

the cookie fc_uid
- is a hash of the SESSION ID (hold no other adata)
- is appended search / filtering URLs of logged users
- makes the URLs unique so that the browser can be asked to open page cache without reloading from server when you click BACK / FORWARD buttons

Thanks for your reply. The new data protection rules are a big thing in German at the moment.
