Hi,

Is there away to reset the items, fields, menus and category ID numbers?

One of my clients was asking why their ID numbers are so high (eg 1001)? When they have 10 items.

As I usually build on a previous clients work is there away to reset these values via my without destroying the site?

Hello

to update the ids
it would be possible but dangerous

usually you do not know where the article ID is referenced
not only in tables
but also inside description texts when creating links

it is not worth breaking the web-site like this, please try to communicate the dangerous of attempting something like this to your client
