Fatal error PHP file in item view with Joomla 1.5

There is a problem with the website
...
being visible and sometimes downloading.

The error logs are showing:

The website is built with Joomla 1.5.28 and FLEXIcontent version 1.5.6 RC9b (r1601)

the folder

/components/com_flexicontent/views/items/

should be rename to /items_something/ and then later removed

because all single item links should point to patched to point to
&view=item, instead of &view=items

why has this website not been upgraded ?

The difficulty here is procrastination...

Well, I don't know in which country you are, but Joomla using 1.5 is negligent. Joomla 1.5 is NOT safe!

Just recently I had an appointment with a doctor and went to his page for information. Joomla 1.5. I told him that he was lucky that the pages wasn't hacked, yet. He told me "Well, it's hacked every week. My web design company just restores a backup". I told him that such action (or non-action) in Germany might have legal consequences for him because it is his page and he is responsible for the contents. I also told him that I might not look good if his page contains links to illegal online shops. Anyway, he got nervous and updated his page.
