Can't get the gist of Peer- and Sub- menus

Hi, I'm a returning Flexicontent user, and have re-set up my coin & paper money collection site after about 2 years, but there's one thing that's bugging me. When I view my site now, on the main page of the catalogue I see the title, then I see the Sub-Categories menu, then underneath that I see the Peer Categories menu. Shouldn't these menus be reversed? Can I combine them into one menu, so I can have a topic like "Canadian Coins", and have the subcategories for that branched off of it like, '1 Dollar', '2 Dollars', 'Dimes', etc...? How can I change the topics of the Peer Categories and Sub Categories menus?

Would someone kindly take a look at my site for me and help me to determine how I can do this, instead of having two separate menus? There should be a combine feature, but I can't find it.

Hello

to disable them go to component parameters by clicking
'Configuration' button

then go to TABs:
'Category views' / 'Lists Header' / 'Sub-categories'
'Category views' / 'Lists Header' / 'Peer-categories'

Thanks for your reply. You're telling me something I already know. I don't want to know how to disable the menus, I want to know how to combine them in a hierarchy structure. I don't want two separate menus, I want one, with sub-categories listed under each Peer category. If you need more clarification, let me know.

Also at the top level, the searches don't work. I have to click on a sub-category before I can search with the correct results.

To get a hierachical stucture,
- disable these sub-cats, peer-cats lists ("menus" as you call them)
- create a FLEXIcontent categories module, (this will look as a menu)
- place the module in a position that is above the component area or in an other desirable position

To be able to search in subcategories, you need to enable listing of sub-category items !
- if listing of sub-category items is disabled in current category then the search box will respect this setting

That worked very well, thank you for the suggestion! I re-enabled my sub-categories so people can navigate a little easier to see what's available. So far so good.
