H!
How to configure search results?

1. How to remove authors, date and types from search results:

2. How to override template file - /components/com_flexicontent/views/search/tmpl/default_results.php

Thanks.

Hello

this file is rather safe to override !
- you override it exactly the way that you create a Joomla template override !

(Google "Joomla template override")
and you get: How to override the output from the Joomla! core

PATH_TO_JOOMLA/components/com_flexicontent/views/search/tmpl/default_results.php

to

TEMPLATE_NAME/html/com_flexicontent/search/default_results.php

Oh, thanks.
I thought that this method works only for templates, not for views.

So, how to remove authors, date and types from search results?

It seems this file does not have options for this...

Hello

you do not need an override to remove them !

The text that you see there is the searchable text !
if you want it not be searchable

then you go to fields manager
find the field that you want not be text-searchable
- click to make it non-text searchable

do this for all fields that you want to exclude

and then re-index Basic and Advanced search indexes

I'm sorry, it's my fault.

I disabled searching for Created By field, but my name still displayed in search results.

So, I was confused.

I should to disable searching for Revised By field too. So now - it's fine.

Thanks!
