Images order in Gallery Field?

Hi!
Before uploading images in to Gallery field, I rename all images with counter:

img_01
img_02
img_03
img_04

After uploading images they have not clear order (by names), so I have to sort images manually.
Can we fix this?

i think not good for most cases

and actually, they should keep the order that they have in the uploader

it seems we have some unfinished work about this at the uploader

Ok, if not alphabetically, so how it works? Date created? Size?

I meant this :

before you upload files
you sort them inside the uploader
then you click upload and then if you have "auto-assign" flag in image field on

then you get them inside item form in the order that you had sorted them

- just this was postponed to be done later, and then it was not done at all (yet)

Ok, what now happens:

Uploader loads images by file names. And it's good.

But when images assigns to item - order is randomize...

We should fix it.

It takes very much time - to drag images in field manually.
