Is it possible to add Table / List view switch buttons for lists?

yes it is the "layout switcher" options
just our default icons for the views are not appropriate / not clear, we need to change them

where this setting located?
what template support this feature?

the layout switcher is component parameters and in category parameters

you can switch between
layout "blog" (= list if you show 1 item per row)
and
layout "default" (=table)

just the icons of the switch need not be better
but also instead of icons you can show a drop-down select too
