to filter on date in locked filter

Hello,

In a category vue, is it possible tu use the locked filter on a custom field (type date) to DO NOT DISPLAY items before 'today' ?

My item type in this category is like a event manager, and I don't want to display events (items) witch are passed.

no you need to used universal module with advenced date scope

But there's any way we can archive this, via category view?

Oh... I know I can do it using the module, but it's not very effective to display a category listing view within a module.

If there's not a easy way to list only "date > today" the easy way, can you point me to do this the hard way?

Several filtering capabilities of universal content module, do not exist in FLEXIcontent category view

In events listing this is almost mandatory, as "next events" - I really wish to use FC and avoid other components.

So my questions is:
Is it possible to implement without touching FC core?
If so, can you point me in the right direction?

you would need to create a new FLEXIcontent "field type" and in it implement more filtering options
