Hello

currently the HTML of the search view listing,
can be customized by making a Joomla template override for the files of the view

do you know how to make a Joomla template override ?

Hello

no you cannot
there are some reasons why search view was not made to be like all our "category-like" (items listing) views

- most important it can list records of different plugins, not just flexicontent items e.g. contacts

i see the benefit of not having to duplicate your work

Note that if you have a lot of content items (e.g. thousands) and many filters it is best for performance reasons to use the search view
