[EXPLAINED] Hide module when field empty

Hello,

I'm using Joomla! 3.6.4 and FLEXIcontent 3.1.1.

I have a universal module that uses a custom field scope, dynamic filter using field values of currently item. When the field shows no results is there a way the module can hide itself.

what exactly is the HTML output of the module ?
- the module should create no HTML when there is no data to show

and then it is the responsibility of the Joomla template and module manager (e.g. if you are using regular labs module manager) to hide it

The only thing that remains it the module title

- you can try to disable the module title
- you can try the Regular Labs module manager


FLEXIcontent module, does it is job and returns no HTML

Yes I know, but I need the title and I need the title to go away when the module returns no html. Like hide if empty like we see on another module.

in the other module the "title" could be added the module itself
- you can try using regularLabs Module manager to remove empty modules

Question: which "layout" (template) the Universal Content module is using:
- default
- select
- news
- carousel

some custom layout that you have made ?
(i just only want to makes sure that we do not return some "spaces")
