Wanting to create a user dashboard

Hi

I am new here and understand this tool is immensely powerful, yet I find it difficult to understand how to get the basic understanding of it, let alone utilise it to the maximum.

I personally would love it if those who are experienced with this tool could share what they have done with it and how, then we can all learn more and really make the most of this tool and create new possibilities for ourselves.

My particular question is how do I create a user/member dashboard with images/icons, accompanied by brief descriptions similar to the shown here?

I am not sure of your question

you can create these icons in an HTML editor and link to FLEXIcontent views (e.g. category view)

- the question is what is the content that will be list AFTER you click the icons ?

e.g. it will be the items "owned" by current user and are of content type e.g. "Clamps"

for now flexi doesn't work on com_user mayve in futur ? not sure
but you can create an content type => user and add field inside after login user can edit his own for exemple
