Good morning.

I'm trying to set up the ff. user privileges for a site (please see attachment):
1. myAuthor
a. can only add/edit OWN Articles, and assign them to any number of categories
b. add Tags to their OWN articles
c. upload Files and Images to their OWN articles
2. myPublisher
a. can add/edit/change state ALL/ANY Articles, and assign them to any number of categories
b. add/edit/change state of Categories
c. add/edit/manager Tags in Tags Manager
d. add/edit/manage Comments
e. add/edit/manage Files and Images
f. view Search
g. view Statistics
3. myManager, which is the same as the Publisher, and can ...
a. add/edit/manager Users

I've created new User Groups for the myAuthor and myPublisher, so we're starting from "empty" privileges.
Can I get some help on how to set up these accounts with these privileges on FlexiContent?

Thanks!

Hello

Better that you start a group that has almost no permissions:
1. Create your usergroups under "Registered" usergroup

2. Edit Global Joomla permissions and give them backend login

3. Edit Special access group to allow backend menus to show, backend UI needs this VIEW Level ...

4. Then allow usergroup MyEditors and usergroups under it to use FLEXIcontent component:

5. Then Allow Statistics to e.g. "MyEditors2"

Finally for Allowing "Create" "Edit"
- either allow at component
- or let it be "inherit" == which is "soft" DENY, which means you can enable it later for some specific sub-category

if you set the "Edit" to Deny at component level for "MyEditors2" then you cannot enable later for some sub-category

everything that i wrote here is General Joomla ACL usage
- Just FLEXIcontent has more ACL permissions at the component configuration and at categories
