I have two types of items. each of them have different fields.
I want to have a category link field (or something) in type 2 ,so when I click on the field , the category items of it be displayed.
For example:
Type 1: list of companies.
Type 2 : list of Exhibitions (which the companies took a part in.)
When I click on the name of the exhibitions (which should be items to have fields like start date ,etc.) OR one of it's fields, the companies which are assigned to specific category be displayed.
It seems I have to create a category for an exhibition "too" , and Assign both of the item types to that category .
no you can't type is independant of category
you can link item with relation field
=> on submiting you can auto assign categorie to type but not field
