Select multiple check boxes in a drop down selector

Hi guys,

Is there a way to get select multiple check boxes inside a drop down selector as a filter?

I have attached a pic to explain the look and function that I am after.

we have written code that will work with our curent JS (select2 JS)

The pic is using select2 js:



still need to combine this with our "submit-onchange" form behaviour, we should be able to fire the form submit event on
"select2-close" event ... otherwise we may need to use other JS library

Manage to finish this , all select-multiple drop downs (backend / frontend) will behave like this by default

in case of form auto-submit, this will be prevented until select - drop down is closed

You can test in testing or localhost web-site:

click "Download or Clone" / Download ZIP
and install into the testing web-site via "Joomla extension manager"

Can I install this over my existing Flexi-Content setup in the same way I install and upgrade?

yes you can upgrade existing installation

please use a testing site,

and a note: Selecting / deselecting last value , will close the drop down, a way to fix this is to upgrade our select2 JS to to v4.x which has more options
but this will happen later

I have tested it on my localhost test site and received the following post installation error, when updating initial permission.. please see screenshot attached.



Also is there a way to have drop down and check box only without it repeating the selected items in the bar
please see image for what I want to remove.
