Hello

there is no "english" version,

this is our current development version (not released)

maybe i did not explain it well,

I have made it simpler (WITH option to hide main category too)

i meant to say this was added / implemented yesterday
- we wanted to do this before ,
but so far we asked users to use CSS to hide it, but with some effort it was added without breaking anything

This is the development branch of "3.0.x-stable"
github.com/FLEXIcontent/flexicontent-cck/tree/3.0.x-stable

click "download ZIP" and then install via Joomla extension manager, in a TESTING website
test and provide feedback

Thank you for this add, it is very usefull !
Is there a way to hide the main and secondary categories in the item edit form too ? (By selecting "edit item" in a list, the categories are showed even if they are already defined in backend)
Regards

Hello

- no , but you can prevent users from changing them

go to component permissions
and DENY the "change" category assignments permissions for the usergroup

Hello

both the category label and add the category selector have outer containers that
- have unique HTML tag ID or unique CSS class names

you can use them to hide them

NOTE: to only hide for a specific TYPE
- go to types manager
- edit your type
- find the TAB: Item form (FE) = (Frontend)
- Add your CSS to hide them and save
