About nicer URLs using a filter_alias=filter_value, instead of filter_id=filter_value

Hello!

Currently to filter items using URL works only if query is in format like ?filter_id={{field_name##}}

Is it possible to change filter_id to something more pretty, for example ?alias={{field_name##}}. I want to make URLs look more beautiful for users, because constructions like ?filter_1=value or ?filter_25=value looks a little bit ugly :pinch:

Hello

yes you are right and this has be proposed by others before:

here is an issue:
milestone v3.0.10+ or later , but this will not be made default behaviour until v3.1

- the idea is to make URLs that include values of filters to user
&fieldname=filter_value

- also to allow easier implementantion and avoid troubles/conflicts, we should use
&_fieldname=filter_value

places to change:
- new component parameter to enable new behaviour
- modify fields helper file: filter HTML creation
- modify fields helper file: usage of submit filter values in (SQL) item list filtering
- modify JS file that selects variables to add to the URL (so that server/proxy*/browser* caching works properly)

(* new in v3.0.9)
