Ever since updating my Joomla site to 3.4.5 this week I can no longer open the Admin Articles or Categories Sections in Joomla. I also cannot open the Main Flexi Content Component.

I am using V 2.2.1 rc I need to get this resolved ASAP as the Joomla 3.4.5 was a needed update. I cannot update to Flexi 3, my client has too much going on and does not want to spend the time to change it. so please don't tell me to upgrade.

Thank you!

Hi,
ggppdk will surely help.
When I read your post I really had to wonder. Terms like ASAP and "so please don't tell me to upgrade" or "does not want to spend the time to change it" are just not polite. Especially not in the first post ever.
At the end you are in trouble. You HAVE to update to Joomla 3.4.5 and you THINK you have to update to FC 3. And now you demand urgent help. I personally think that is not how this forum works.
Anyway. Why are you not just make a test installation on a local webserver? Or you could just search this forum for help about updating to FC 3. There are many posts about updating to FC 3. Should not be a lot of problems with it. Or just polity describe the problem with some more information e.g. error messages in debug mode.
This is my personal opinion.

Please forgive me as I was not trying to be impolite. I have been looking around now for hours and it was constantly what I was seeing being said. By all means I know the client should update to the newer version but they have a very complex site and do not wish to do so at this time.

I am getting an Internal 500 Internal Server Error and since that is happening I am unable to see an errors returned.

Hello

- using v2.2.1 with Joomla 3.4.x is not supported

Updating FLEXIcontent v2.2.1 to v3.0.8 is not a migration, it is an upgrade
If you have not hacked any files then you can upgrade
- there might be some behaviour changes, that you can reconfigure via editing component configuration (or some field's configuration)
- there are CSS / JS changes, after upgrading (click CTRL-F5 on screens that appear to have JS error)

-- You can test the upgrade in a localhost copy too

-- Flexicontent is Free but involves a big effort on our part.
Like the our support? (for a bug-free FC, despite having a long list of functions) Like the features? Like the ongoing development and future commitment to FLEXIcontent?
-- Add your voice to the FLEXIcontent JED listing with a 5-star...

Thank you everyone for your suggestions!

I was able to get it fixed without having to upgrade. For anyone that runs into this issue i the future, Optimizing the DB tables fixed it.
