Filter on relative date range

Filter on relative date range was created by jimlocigno

Is it possible to filter on a relative date range - something like

"I want to see all the new posts in the last week or last month".

I know that I can specify filtering for the created date - or other dates- and specify date range there. But I was hoping there was an easier way- for example letting the user (or a plug in for that matter - that could be set to display the posts that were created in the last week (or month or someother relative date range) (without specfifying two specific dates.

I searched the forums and did find this

but I am not 100% sure it's doing what I would like

you can use/try the DATE scope in
"Universal content module for FLEXIcontent"

in expert mode you can use specific imput (ex 0 d)
read the tool tip
