Workflow states and Joomla User Groups

Hi folks

I'm completely new to FlexiContent, and I'm struggling hard to figure out how to make it work. Before going further, I'd like to know if you can see a way to make it fit in my project's requirement.

Basically, I'll need a specific content type to be built, and make it have a frontend workflow with 4 states. Each state should be available ONLY to a certain user group, that would make it pass to the next state or return it to the previous one.

My question is: is it possible attaching built-in workflow states in FlexiContent to specific usergroups so that a given content item can be edited only by a certain usergroup depending on that state?

Hello as you have seen you there is indeed no option to assign specific states to specific user-groups

-- the states are fixed and serve a specific purpose,

-- you may need custom development to an existing component or developing a new component
