[Implemented r1972] Show text on unauthorized ACL content

I asked this a very long time ago, but I cannot find the answer and don't know if it has changed.

Is there a way to display text or something if a user is accessing a page that includes a field that has an ACL that they do not have rights to?

I'm thinking something like "You don't currently have access to this, click here to subscribe..."

Hello

it was done for file field,

we missed the opportunity to do it in v2.2.0 RC

it is either very little ... or medium work,

but it can also be done at your custom template by checking access level of the field

- will do in v2.3.0 beta, shortly after v2.2.0 final is released

A workaround could be having two fields, one for guests and the other for registered, and put that message as default on the guest one

Unless otherwise indicated:
Joomla 3.8.1
Flexicontent 3.2.1.7

Hello

proper implementation (which possible after other relevant changes done recently) is
1. modify fields (config) retrieval query to calculate HAS_ACCESS column instead of filtering the returned data by access

2. Check the new HAS_ACCESS column in renderField() field helper method to:
return no access message, instead of creating field's HTML

3. Add in all XML files of fields, 2 new parameters
- show no access message when inaccessible
- custom (per field) no access message (to override default no access message)

try r1972
